I wasn't really planning on writing a blog post today, I was just going to upload some photographs to my Photography Page. But then I thought that the event (Saturday evening) was far too special to let it go amiss!

So traditionally, the Baby Shower is organised by the expectant mother's close friends & family and the mummy-to-be knows nothing about it. For my Baby Shower, the lovely hosts were my Mum, family friend Kemi & my best friend Alex... and they did a bloody good job of keeping it a secret! All I knew was where to be, what day and what time. Everything else remained a mystery. Literally until I arrived at the building! Even Phil, Paul & Mickey had seen more than me as they'd helped to set up! (Confession: I am not a big fan of surprises, in fact I hate them!)

But what did I have to be afraid of? Quite honestly... nothing! Three of the people who knew me best (bar Phil) had organised the most beautiful, magnificent and fun-filled evening for me & my gorgeous Little Munchkin! It was filled with Winnie The Pooh themed everything! Who doesn't love Pooh Bear?! And I was blessed with the presence (AND presents!) of my favourite people - best friends, church family, family and Bump's God Parents... all the people who have helped me to develop into the person I am today!

I would like to keep this post pretty short to be honest (yes, a miracle!) but there is just a few things I'd like to say:

  1. A HUGE thank you to my amazing Mummy; she puts so much into everything - both the evening itself and in my life in general. She's my rock and I could never live without her! Me & Phil (& Paul I'm sure) are super proud of you and love you so much!
  2. A big thank you to the fantastic Kemi & Alex (& Mum, again) for everything you put into making the evening such a huge success. It was awesome!
  3. Thank you to my gorgeous guests! Without you, the evening would not have been the same! You made it so extra special and I am blessed to be surrounded by such fantastic people! Your generosity in gifts for both Me & Bump was such a pleasant surprise - thank you so much for spoiling us both!
  4. Lastly, a more general thank you to you all - Phil & I have felt so blessed since the day we found out we were expecting. We have been showered with love, affection, advice and gifts over and over and we cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us. It means the world to us, just as our Little Munchkin already does! We cannot wait to introduce you to Bump, and for baby to know how blessed they are to have such awesome family and friends around them!

So, less of my waffling and soppiness (if that's even a word!) - it's time for a few silly photographs!

Thank you all again, from the bottom of my heart. I can't wait to finally introduce you all to Baby Hughes... Oh yes, there'll be a blog about that too ;) hehe!
